May 12, 2009 VVA Manages Expansion Project for Filtration Specialist, Pall Corp in Port Washington

New York, NY, (May 1, 2009).  VVA, LLC, the leading Project Management & Consulting firm is currently managing the consolidation of 260,000 sq. ft. and expansion & addition on existing space to create a new consolidated headquarters for Pall Corporation. The expansion project includes new offices and research & development laboratories. Pall Corp is consolidating its East Hills, NY facility into its existing Port Washington, NY facility in order to increase efficiency and reduce costs.  Pall Corporation is the global leader in filtration, separation and purification, meeting the demanding needs of customers in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, transfusion medicine, energy, electronics, water purification, aerospace, transportation and broad industrial markets. 

Pall Corp's project team, in collaboration with leading architecture firm, Spector Group (Woodbury, NY), was dedicated to making the space feel lighter and more spacious by eliminating all perimeter offices and installing glass office fronts to allow for natural light throughout the space. The company also incorporated many LEED elements and other environmentally responsible features into the renovation of the facility, including:

-  Reuse of furniture, sprinklers and ductwork to reduce waste
-  Creating storm water and erosion control systems
-  Use of low emission adhesives, paints, sealants and other coatings
-  Energy efficient lighting and occupancy sensors on all lights - an annual savings of 40% on electricity

VVA is providing full service project management, including, due diligence, design management, construction administration, value engineering, move in and close out.
