HMMS-NJ EVENT

On March 25th, 2009, Dana Panzarino, Managing Director of VVA and head of the firm's Healthcare Practice Group, was a Master of Ceremonies for an event hosted by the Healthcare Materials Management Society of NJ and several other healthcare organizations, in Kenilworth, NJ. The event, entitled "Building a Future: Construction Door to Door from Central Supply to the Operating Room" started with networking in a nearby exhibit room with sponsor booths, followed by an  introductions from John Brede, President of HMMS-NJ. Ms. Panzarino spoke briefly about the state of the healthcare system in New Jersey and the implications of this on new healthcare construction projects. She then introduced a program of three presentations. The presenters included, Nancy Chobin of Saint Barnabas Health Care System discussing Construction in the Sterile Processing Area, Thomas MacVaugh of Ascension Health discussing Equipment Planning, and Dan McGuirk of Steris Corporation discussing Video Integration in Today's Operating Rooms & Advanced technologies in this area. The evening concluded with dinner, drinks and more networking.
