The event will take place on May 20, 2009 at The Pierre Hotel in Manhattan. F.E.G.S is one of the largest and most diversified not-for-profit health and human services organizations in the United States serving 100,000 individuals and families each year in the New York City metropolitan area and provides employment/career services; programs for individuals with disabilities; services for refugees and immigrants, youth, older adults, families and others. Each year, F.E.G.S, at its "Partnerships for a Changing World" Benefit Dinner, honors an individual or group of people whose business and philanthropic contributions have made a significant contribution to New York and society.
"We are humbled and greatly honored to accept this designation," commented Mr. Vascotto. "It comes at an especially meaningful time for us as we mark the 15th Anniversary of our firm. We are truly proud of the work we have done in this city and around the country and the dedication of our entire firm to philanthropy and volunteerism."
VVA specializes in project management for interior office construction projects and new building development. The firm works with a variety of industries, including law firms, media & entertainment and financial companies, hospitals and other healthcare facilities, hotels, schools, universities and retail stores. Outside of their day-to-day work, VVA supports and is involved with a number of charitable organizations, including but not limited to, Project Sunshine, HELP USA, The Emmory Regan Shapsis Foundation, Putting Families First and R Baby. The firm has also supported F.E.G.S in the past, along with numerous other local and national non-profits.
Irwin Schneider added, "We are extremely proud to be honored by F.E.G.S so that we can help raise additional funding and awareness for this truly remarkable organization which helps countless numbers of individuals and communities. At a time when so many people are finding themselves unemployed and potentially homeless, F.E.G.S, as it has done for almost 75 years, is helping to rebuild lives - through counseling/career transitioning and employment assistance and a vast network of health and social services which help thousands of people live life with greater independence and dignity. We are truly grateful to be involved with this organization."
