LORENZO VASCOTTO, P.E. - Managing Director
Mr. Vascotto founded VVA over ten years ago after a successful career in real estate, project management, facilities, and engineering with Goldman Sachs and Syska & Hennessy.
Mr. Vascotto serves as a managing director of VVA. As a 20-year veteran of the real estate and construction industry, Mr. Vascotto brings a unique knowledge, enabling him to bridge both the operational and construction issues associated with complex relocation projects where extensive move coordination is required for challenging construction projects. He has an extensive background in lease analysis and negotiation, project management, engineering and technology implementation at both new and renovated facilities.
During his illustrious career Mr. Vascotto has represented such well-known corporate clients as Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs & Co., Cahill Gordon & Reindell, McDermott, Will & Emery, Fried Frank and McKinsey & Company, among others.
Mr. Vascotto is a graduate of Manhattan College with a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. He is a licensed engineer and a licensed real estate broker.
For more than 25 years Irwin Schneider, P.E. has been a leading figure in the construction and project management industries. Mr. Schneider applies his extensive knowledge and technical expertise in engineering to every facet of a construction project. From design and constructability reviews to value engineering, construction coordination, troubleshooting system issues, and project close-out, he oversees all aspects of a project on behalf of his clients.
Mr. Schneider’s ability to maximize value for clients is based on a comprehensive understanding of their goals and requirements combined with a willingness to challenge the assumptions on which project decisions are made. By identifying alternative approaches that can improve both capital and operating efficiency when addressed early in the planning and design process, Mr. Schneider helps resolve critical issues that directly impact the success of each project.
His impressive list of clients includes such high profile companies as Credit Suisse First Boston, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, Kaplan Inc., AXA Financial, Met Life Insurance Company and Sirius Satellite Radio.
Prior to joining VVA in 1995, Mr. Schneider served as Senior Vice President at Syska & Hennessy. He earned a B.S.M.E degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and is a licensed professional engineer in New York and Florida.
With over two decades of experience in engineering, construction management, project management and real estate consulting, Dana Panzarino has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the New York real estate and construction world. Her winning combination of superior technical expertise, exceptional managerial skills and a hands on approach, has helped her cultivate an impressive, loyal list of clients including Fortune 500 companies, top international law firms, entertainment, financial and healthcare organizations.
Ms. Panzarino has held leadership positions in several prominent real estate and construction companies; including, Lehr Construction and Olympia & York. In 1999, she brought her first-hand knowledge of the design and building industries to VVA, Project Managers & Consultants. Her diverse and notable credentials enhance her ability to effectively coordinate all disciplines involved in a major construction project, from the design process, value engineering concepts, management and maintenance of the overall budget and schedule, through overseeing construction and overall quality control.
Since joining VVA, Ms. Panzarino has helped grow the firm by attracting exceptional talent, increasing client base and molding future strategy. She is a licensed professional engineer in New York and is an active member of WX Women’s Real Estate Network.
With over 23 years of professional experience in commercial real estate, engineering and construction, Mr. Chiapperino has established an impressive reputation as a leader in the field of Project Management Consulting. His team oriented approach and broad range of managerial, creative and technical talents have enabled clients to realize unsurpassed value from their project investment.
As a partner of VVA, LLC, Mr. Chiapperino has consistently demonstrated his leadership abilities on many of the firms most noted assignments including projects on behalf of high profile clients such as West LB, Ropes & Gray, Newscorp, Kramer Levin Naftalis and Frankel, Debevoise & Plimpton, MetLife, EMI Music Publishing, Scripps Networks and many others. In addition, he has developed specialties in the law firm and in media & entertainment industries having managed many large scale projects in both sectors. His broad range of technical knowledge combined with his communication skills enable him to effectively direct the entire project team to meet the challenges of today's highly complex projects and deliver the desired client objectives.
Prior to his tenure at VVA, Mr. Chiapperino held prominent positions planning and managing capital projects at CBS Broadcasting Inc. and the Real Estate Division of IBM.
Mr. Chiapperino holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Pratt Institute (Magna Cum Laude) and is a licensed professional engineer in New York and New Jersey. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honor Society) and the International Facility Managers Association.
Robert O'Hea brings a wealth of expertise in the fields of design and construction to VVA, which has been cultivated during his more than 18 years of practical experience in engineering and project management.
Since joining VVA, Mr. O'Hea, a principal of the firm, has combined his engineering expertise with strong organizational, leadership and communication skills to manage some of the firm's largest, most complex and highest profile interior and base building projects. His clients include such prestigious firms as Goldman, Sachs & Co., Lehman Brothers, Rainbow Network Communications and Cablevision.
A graduate of Catholic University, Washington, D.C., with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. O'Hea developed his talents as an HVAC design engineer with Syska & Hennessy. He joined VVA in 1996 and has since managed the build-outs of more than 15 million square feet of office interiors, data centers and trading floors.
Mr. O'Hea is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
With 20 years of experience managing projects on both the local and national levels, Ray Arnold has added invaluably to the VVA team since joining the firm as an associate in 2000. His wealth of expertise allows him to seamlessly coordinate the activities of design professionals, general contractors and subcontractors and develop schedules and phasing plans that limit the impact on user groups. Mr. Arnold has completed a number of high profile projects across the country, as well as internationally, for such prestigious clients as Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs, Bank Julius Baer and Thelen, Reid & Priest.
Before joining VVA, Mr. Arnold served as Assistant Vice President of GreenPoint Financial Corporation, where he was responsible for the Management of corporate wide Facilities Management and Construction for more than 11 years. Previous to his position with GreenPoint Financial he was an Engineering Manager with Alexander's.
Mr. Arnold holds a B.A. in Banking from the American Institute of Banking at Hofstra University as well as an HVAC Certificate from Turner Technical Training Institute.
Mr. Marinaro’s successful 25-year career in Project Management has resulted in his emergence as a leader in this field in the DC Metro Region. He applies his background in architecture, construction and technical expertise to every client’s project, achieving a consistent track record of delivering projects on time and within or well under budget.
Prior to joining VVA, Mr. Marinaro was the Director of Project Management for the Washington, DC region of CBRE, where he directed corporate interior renovation projects, managed strategic planning, scheduling, design, construction, and IT integration. Mr. Marinaro’s clients span multiple industries, including law firms, government and non-profit institutions, and major corporations. Before joining CBRE, Mr. Marinaro was Vice President of Project Management for Karchem Properties, where he managed more than 2 million square feet of phased renovation, expansion and new office build-out projects. Additionally, Mr. Marinaro has operated his own firm – ZDI - and was a partner at Studios Architecture.
Mr. Marinaro received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and is currently a member of the Washington, DC Building and Industry Association
