EMI Music Publishing
65,000 sq. ft. relocation of the entire office to Chelsea market. The project included a high-end fit-out of the new space and raised flooring was used throughout in order to allow for ease of electrical and cable installation for the predominately open office environment. The space consists of both interior and exterior offices, conference rooms, board room, music spa, listening room, performance space and lounge/café. The existing terra cotta arch ceiling was left exposed and accentuated by the use of direct lighting and cove lighting. New cooling towers and MEP systems where installed to service EMI exclusively. VVA’s scope of services include: Due diligence, Consultant selection, Cost Estimating, Scheduling, Design Management, Value engineering, Contract negotiation, Constructability review, Construction administration, Cost Control and Reporting, Systems/Technology Integration, Move-Coordination and Project Close-out.
EMI Recorded Music, North America
150,000 square foot project at historic, 150 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY. The project included the consolidation of three locations and multiple music label groups into the building and included offices, new dining facilities, rooftop garden, special purpose A/V rooms and executive boardroom. Complete replacement of building infrastructure also occurred, including: core bathrooms, roof, heating, HVAC plant and electrical systems. Multiple landmarks approvals were required. VVA’s scope of services included, Due diligence and Lease negotiations, Consultant selection, Budgeting, Scheduling, Design management, Value engineering, Contract negotiations, Constructability review, Public Assembly Approvals, Construction administration, Landmarks approvals, Change order process and negotiation, Move supervision and Post occupancy phase.
News Corporation: Fox News
45,000 square foot project management services for the design and construction of three new television studios, control rooms and technical support space at 1211 Avenue of the Americas. The Studios consisted of core and shell expansions to the building at the east facade over Charles Schwab portion of the building and on the west elevation above the tenth (10th) floor roof set-back. The expansion of core and shell included both new and relocated emergency generators and air cooled chillers in a phased approach, so as to not impact ongoing technical operations. A critical 'on-air' date in November 2008 to host the presidential election coverage was a must and was successfully achieved.
Scripps Networks: Food Network
107,000 sq. ft. TV production facilities and operations headquarters. The facility encompassed a complete broadcast environment, including TV studios, post-production, commercial kitchen with broadcast capability, green rooms and associated production support spaces. Offices include the Food Network, advertising and sales operations, boardroom, and support for several other Scripps Networks brands. VVA's scope of services included: Due diligence, Lease negotiations, Budgeting, Scheduling, Design management, Value engineering, Contract negotiation, Constructability review, Construction administration, Cost Control and Reporting, Broadcast systems integration, Technology Integration, Move-in, and Post occupancy support.
Sirius Satellite Radio
100,000 square foot project at Rockefeller Center. The project included a radio broadcast center and corporate headquarters for distribution of digital satellite radio, including 18 radio studios, broadcast operations, satellite uplink facilities, offices and, highly detailed glass and acoustic construction. Infrastructure upgrades included new chillers and electrical riser, abatement of existing conveyor shaft and demolition. VVA’s scope of services included: Due diligence, Lease negotiations, Consultant selection, Budgeting, Scheduling, Design management, Value engineering, Contract negotiations, Constructability review, Construction administration and Post occupancy phase.
